December, 2012
Volume III, Issue III
KEYWORDS:
This month is the end
of 2012, and it is a time to reflect on our lives to determine whether we have
made a change for the better, or for worse; and, if we have made someone else's
life better than it was before . We all
have much to be thankful for, even when things are not going very well. During
this holiday season I hope you will remember that 'Jesus' is the reason for the
season. He is with us at all times. We must have a strong faith and believe in
him with all our might.
We are at the end of
the first half of the dance year, and can now look forward to our annual Spring
dance recital. We have much work ahead as we prepare for another show. The
acrobatic classes will be preparing for their upcoming competitions. All parents should make sure their
child/children have good attendance during the second half dance year.
Everyone have a
wonderful and happy holiday season.
MERRY CHYRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

TRASH
BAG PROJECT
The trash bag sale
did not go very well. Everyone did not participate. Because of this, our plans for the students
have changed somewhat. I am hoping our next project will be better. In order to
be included in our upcoming events, you must contribute to the projects. If you
did not participate in the first project, you have to try to make up the
difference in the next project. It is not fair for a few students to work hard
for everyone to get the benefit. So, if you do not participate in the projects,
you will have to pay for anything that these project funds pay for, after the
Christmas party (which is funded by the projects also). We have two projects each year to pay for a
number of things for the students, such as trophies, t-shirts, parties, recital
rehearsal lunch and the after-recital social event.
We have a list of all those who have participated in the first project. I hope I see a great improvement in the next project. I ask for your support, cooperation and participation.

COSTUME
AND RECITAL FEES
All costume and
recital fees should be paid before Christmas break, with the exception of a few
new enrollees. IF I DO NOT HAVE YOUR COSTUME FEE AT CHRISTMAS BREAK, YOU WILL
NOT BE IN THE DECEMBER 17TH ORDER. If I
have to order your costumes in January, your costumes will cost more, plus they
will be in jeopardy of not getting here in time for the photo shoot in
May. Recital fees were due November 30th
and should be paid up also. PLEASE PAY BOTH FEES IN ORDER TO AVOID BEING LEFT
OUT. Also, please make sure we have your
child's correct size for the costume order, if your child is growing fast.
FYI
If you have moved to
a new address, have changed your phone number, or changed your email address,
please contact the office and give them the necessary changes. We need this information for contact
purposes.
Remember the deadline
for the newsletter is the last week of each month.

DANCE
QUOTE
"Left VS. Right:
For a student to be well-rounded and injury-resistant, dancers must even out
their strength and flexibility. Students might hesitate making this correction;
many dancers would rather concentrate on what they do best, than to focus on
their limitations. You have to show them how to find balance, coordination and
strength on their weak side, then they'll see their dancing improve." --Laszlo
Berdo, Ballet Instructor at Pennsylvania
Youth Ballet
OUR
MOTTO
"Dancing is fun,
and it stimulates and improves the body as well. It is a form of art given to
you by God, and improved upon with good instruction. We can improve your child's talent with good
instruction."
