KEYWORDS:

This is a month of thanksgiving, kindness, caring and love of mankind. We are all blessed in so many ways, especially when there are so many others who are suffering and in dire need. Hurricane Sandy is a great example of what can happen to anyone beyond their control.  So, for those who are having hard times, you should always remember that nothing stays the same forever, and these times too will pass. If you have anything, or you can do anything that would be helpful to someone in need, please look into your heart with care and concern, and you will be blessed. I feel especially blessed to have all of you in my life. As the years go by, I have plenty to look back on with pride.

I want to thank all of you who have already paid your costume fees and recital fees.  You have shown your willingness to cooperate with studio rules and regulations in a timely manner. The costume order will be mailed on December 17th. Don't forget, I will be leaving town shortly thereafter.

I would like to leave this message with all of you. "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God."  Be thankful every second, every minute, every hour of every day, a day you have never seen before.
God bless and keep you all!

Executive Artistic Director

(Mark your calendars)
STUDIO CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our annual Christmas Party will be held in the fellowship hall downstairs on the first floor on Saturday, December 15th. Please mark your calendars for this date. The party will last from 9:30 a. m. until 1:00 p.m. There will be games, fun activities, prizes, entertainment, gift stockings and refreshments. This will be a fun time for everyone, children and adults. We plan on all students being present during the whole party. The final class days will be Saturday, December 15; Monday, December 17th; Tuesday, December 18th; and Thursday, December 20th.  All classes will have a two week holiday.

TRASH BAG PROJECT

Our trash bag sale project is underway. I am asking everyone to cooperate with our project leader, Yolanda Smith.  We will have two projects each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The goal for each project is to raise $2,000.  I have been trying for a Branson bus trip for two years. I am hoping to do that this year. If this sounds good to you, then you need to work. Let's make our projects successful so we can plan a wonderful end-of-year event that everyone will enjoy.

COSTUME AND RECITAL FEES

REMINDER:  Costume fees were due October 30th, and recital fees are due November 30th. Many have started paying their fees. The costume order will be mailed on December 17th. Any costumes ordered in January, need to be mailed by January 15th in order to receive them in time for our photo shoot. Also you will not have a costume discount and will have to pay the full price, plus taxes and handling charges. PLEASE GET YOUR MONEY IN ON TIME to avoid being left out.

THANK YOU

A special thank you to the parents for coming to see your child/children's classes last week during Observation Week. It makes the children feel good to see their parents excited about what they are learning in their dance classes. Watch for the next announcement  for observation day in February.

FYI

The newsletter deadline for information is the last week of each month. Please turn in any information you might have to the office. The newsletter is distributed on the
first week of each month. Let's hear from you.

DANCE QUOTE

What Arnxta Ocho, Pennsylvania Ballet School, artistic director, says she considers most important in the dance classroom --"Simplicity is the key. It's less about being creative, and more about teaching each new step 'little by little, step by step', from the beginning.

Derick K. Grant, rhythm tap instructor says, "Students tend to hide behind the music, and its a false sense of security. I take out the music so they can really hear the sounds they're making and be in control of them, to emphasize rhythm-building and tone and sound development. I always tell my students, steps don't make the dancer; the dancer makes the steps."

NO NOVEMBER BIRHDAYS

OUR MOTTO

"Dancing is fun, and it stimulates and improves the body as well. It is a form of art given to you by God, and improved upon with good instruction. We can improve your child's talent with good instruction."
