Volume II, Issue IV

KEYWORDS:

We are nearing the end of this year, and entering into a time of year where all hearts should be humbled and full of love and excitement that we made it through one more year. We are blessed to be healthy and in our right minds. Even if everything is not just as we want it to be, we should be grateful. Let us all plan on making next year an even better year than this one. I think the students have done a wonderful job in their classes, and I hope they are looking forward to putting on a great recital in June. May heaven’s light that flooded the hills of Bethlehem when Christ was born brighten your life this holiday season and throughout the coming year.  May you all have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

We use the sizes you recorded on the size forms to order costumes.

CANDY PROJECT

I am sorry that I have been unable to give you a profit total on the candy project, but we have just recently just surpassed our $2,800.00 order amount. Now we are working on the profit we hope to receive with the reports that are still out. This was not supposed to be a three month project. Let’s get busy and clear this up very soon.

FYI

For those interested in credit card payments, please let me know as soon as possible. I believe this method of payment would be beneficial to many of you. I am still looking for news for our Kid’s Korner section of the newsletter.

KID’S KORNER

“CONGRATULATONS”!!!  TO YAHZMINE JACKSON.  This is the second time this year that Yahzmine Jackson has made all “A’s on her school report card. She is in the Eighth Grade and her course of study includes Communication Arts, Algebra, Band, Design & Modeling, Science, and Social Studies. She is the daughter of one of our Office Assistants, Meta Jackson-Wells. We salute her for a job well done.

DANCE QUOTE

“Each Rockette performs the exact same moves to achieve uniformity, and choreography cues are very specific. We talk about what angle your shoulders should be, where your cheekbones turn--if you tilt your head, or keep your eyes downstage—and even where your pinky finger is. It’s just that detailed. There are lines and numbers in a grid on the floor, and you have to pay attention to the depths and travels. You have to be exact.”  -- Kristin Altfather, Radio City Rockette

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY BREAK

UPCOMING NAC MEETS

THE BRIGHT, GLAD SEASON

The bright glad season comes again,  the  happy time of kindly thought,
The time of sweet remembering old friends and new the years have brought.

The giving time! The loving time! The time of songs and caroling,
When sleigh bells ring across the snow, and hearts grow warm remembering.

The time of children’s eager eyes, of whisperings and hidden things;
There’s something thrilling in the air for all the joy the season brings.

The spicy smells! The tang and taste! The glowing colors children love!
And in our hearts the grateful thanks, for every blessing from above.

Oh, always love should rule the breast, and kindliness should banish fear,
Not only when December comes, but every day, and now, and here.
