"HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, WELCOME BACK"
This is the beginning of a brand new year, and I am hoping everyone is looking at everything with a positive attitude. I believe this is going to be a year of great opportunities for our studio. I want all of you to get on the band wagon with all our events, activities and fundraisers and make this a fruitful year. We have much to be thankful for.

We are now experiencing cold weather, so make sure you bundle up and bring your sweaters if you like. Perfect attendance is important now because soon teachers will be working on recital routines. So, don't get sick with colds. We are having "Dance Day" to start off our half-year enrollment, and we want everyone to support the studio by bringing in new students during the month of January. Parents should ask for a copy of the newsletter every first Saturday so you can find out what announcements you need to know. Please read the entire newsletter. As you read the newsletter, you will find that we have several things coming up with the acrobatic class, and performances by the Junior Division.

Let's start the new year off by doing bigger and better things.

June Neal Key
Executive Artistic Director

HALF YEAR ENROLLMENT

"The Art of Dance Expo" is our free "Dance Day" opening for our half-year enrollment on January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is to invite someone to take part in a dance session of all the dance forms, and our students should stay and dance with them to encourage and help them. We hope to have a large group of new students, if you did your jobs of inviting friends. But, you still have an opportunity to invite friends during the whole month of January to enroll in the half-year class. This is one good way to help your school grow. Dance Day is Free.

NAC COMPETITIONS

The NAC competitions are coming up, and our participants are looking for all our support by cheering them on to victory. We have about 13 students participating this year in several levels. The preliminary competitions will be Sunday, February 1, and Sunday, February 15, 2015 to be held at Monticello Trails Middle School, 6100 Monticello Road, Shawnee, Kansas. Championships will be Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the same location. Winners will be posted in the seating area. We wish good luck to all of them for their efforts.

MONTHLY FEES

All dance fees should be kept up to date each month. Any payments made after the 15th of the month will automatically add $10.00 to your fee.  Now that all costume fees have been paid, please get your recital fees paid. They were due November 30, 2014. The deadline date is February 15, 2015.

THANKS!!

We thank Brotherhood Bank for donating the green candy-filled stockings that were passed out at the Christmas party. The bank is also carpeting our acrobatic room with padding and carpet. We are grateful that they have chosen our school to make such a charitable donation. They have been a loyal supporter with a full page ad every year for 20 years or more. They were also responsible for our school being featured on the 'Faces of Kansa City" on Channel 5 TV.

FYI

Please report any new or changed home addresses , phone numbers, cell phone numbers or email addresses to the office.  We need to be able to reach you for any emergency that may arise.

If you have not made your final candy sale report, please do so. It is long over due now. Our initial payment to the candy company has to be paid.

DANCE QUOTE

This quote is for the dancer who is trying to spread their horizons to a higher level. "It's exciting to be in a situation where you are out of your comfort zone. If you are not challenging yourself, what's the point?"
