KEYDANCER--Dec. 2014

December, 2014
Volume V, Issue 3

KEYWORDS:

We are fast approaching the end of 2014, and we have several things to do as we close out this year.  This is also a time of reflection as we endeavor to make changes for the better. We need to ask ourselves what have we done to make someone else's life better.  We all have so much to be thankful for, even in bad times. Throughout this holiday season, remember that "Jesus is the reason for the season".  He is always with us, so we must be strong in our faith and believe in him with all our heart.

We are at the end of the first half of the dance year, As we go into our second half of the dance year, we can look forward to our recital in June. We have much work to do as we prepare for another great show. The acrobatic classes are preparing for their upcoming competitions in February and March. All parents should make sure they get their children to their classes each week. Attendance is crucial to having a great recital.

Everyone have a cheerful, safe, and happy holiday season. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU.

Executive Artistic Director

The dance session will start at 1:00 p.m.  Please invite your friends and family members, or anyone you know who might be interested in taking dance lessons. Classes will start the following Saturday, January 17, 2015.  We have flyers that you may pick up from the office to distribute in your neighborhoods, churches, beauty salons, super markets, etc. We would like a successful half year enrollment. DANCE QUOTE

"My teachers were really hard on me, but it was tough love. They taught me that it's not about being the "cool" teacher, it's about being the teacher who teaches. The one who is hands-on and pushes you to the ground to teach you to be off your center, then makes you figure out how to bet back up. The teachers who flips out at the drop of a dime are the  ones that actually made me a better dancer. They really lit a fire and pushed me to always be the best version of me I can."   ---------Cat Cogliandro , Choreographer/ Instructor on faculty at EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles

MERRY CHRISTMAS

There is a list of folks I know all written in a book,
And every year at Christmas time I go and take a look.
And that is when I realize that these names are a part ,
Not of the book they're written in, but in my very heart.

For each name stands for someone who has touched my life sometimes,
And in that meeting they've become the "Rhythm of the Rhyme".
I really feel that I am composed, of each remembered name, past and present,
And while you may not be aware of feeling quite the same,
My life is so much better than it was before you came.

For once that you have known the years can not erase
The memory of a pleasant word or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas cards are just a mere routine
Of names upon a list, forgotten in between.
For when I send a Christmas card that is addressed to you,
It is because you're on that list of folks that I'm indebted to.

For whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have had a part in shaping things I do.
For every year when Christmas comes I just realize anew,
The biggest gift that God can give is knowing folks like you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
