September 2011
Volume II, Issue 1
I wish all students, teachers, and parents a hearty "Welcome Back". This is our first newsletter for the 2011-2012 dance years. It is exciting to me as I look forward to seeing my students again. I hope you all had a fun and safe summer vacation, and are now ready to kick up your heels and dance. If your willingness to dance is in high gear, then I would say we are up for an exciting year, as you continue to grow into even better dancers than last year. We try hard to do better with each upcoming year. I have grand plans for extra activities that I think you will enjoy. Your cooperation and participation with the fundraising projects will distinguish the success of these activities. Please welcome our new teacher's, Tiffany Davis and Pamela Auinbauh, who is joining our teaching staff this year. We are still blessed to have Wilda Oliver and Ellen Moorer on our teaching staff also. All of the teachers are excited about doing new work and have exciting new routines to teach their classes. Parents roll up your sleeves and get ready to help with our projects so we can have some adventurous, fun, and exciting activities for our children and you to enjoy.
Once again, I welcome everyone back. May God bless each and every one of you during this dance year, and let's make this the greatest year yet.

TIFFANY DAVIS – Tiffany has been dancing with the June Neal Dance Studio since 1992. She was a very good student and progressed quickly to the advance classes. She won the Student of the Year award in her first dance year. After graduating from high school, Tiffany continued dancing, until Ms wilda asked her to help assist with her classes. She has continued to assist and teach routines for the Intermediate, advance and adult classes for Ms. Wilda. She also teaches praise dancing at her church, Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church. She has performed at many functions for the studio and outside the studio, such as church programs, family functions, school programs, weddings, talents shows and workshops. This year, Tiffany will teach the Primary II and Secondary I classes, and continue to assist Ms. Wilda with the Secondary II and junior levels. Tiffany has gained a lot of dance knowledge from Ms. June and Ms. Wilda, and is excited to share what she has learned with her students.
PAMELA AUINBAUH – Pamela has been taking dance lessons for 18 years, with her main training being ballet. Most of her training was with the Ballet Academy of Texas in Coppell, Texas. She has participated in the Ballet Ensemble of Texas, a pre-professional ballet company, throughout middle school and high school. Upon graduating from high school, she decided to attend UMKC as a dance major, where she received significant training in ballet and modern. She has had many performance experiences, and was allowed to perform in every UMKC concert since the beginning of her freshman year. She was also hired by the Kansas City Ballet to dance in The Nutcracker and Giselle for the past 3 years. She finished her degree this past semester, and will finish her biology degree this upcoming school year. Pamela will be teaching ballet and modern dance classes to the junior division this year, and says she looks forward to being able to teach what she loves.

FUNDRAISERS
The studio will do three major projects, which will be solely for providing funds for activities for our children to enjoy. All students should participate in all fundraiser projects. Our first project will be a candy sale, which is underway now. Everyone is responsible for selling $100.00 in sales. If two or more children are in the family, you will be asked to raise $150.00 in sales. Please pick up your candy as soon as possible from the office. Last year we did very well, and everyone ended the year with an enjoyable day at World's of Fun. If you have any ideas for our end of the year activity, whether it's the same as last year or different, please turn in your fun suggestions and we will keep them in mind as we raise funds.
DVD ORDERS
For those persons who were not able to get a DVD of the dance recital, we are taking final orders now until the October 30th. The DVD's are $30.00. Names can be put on the order list with the fee only. Make checks out to Jamey Logan. See any of the office assistants.

STUDIO ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our newsletter is our major source of information. Occasionally there will be posted information, but there will always be a monthly delinquent fee list posted at all times, so check for posted information in the seating areas and on the office door. If you did not make a payment at all the previous month, your child's name will appear on the delinquent list. We want to make sure everyone is aware of studio announcements and information. If you have questions, please ask the proper persons—the each, office assistants or Ms. June.

NEWSLETTER ARTICLES
We would like to highlight any student in our newsletters that have taken part in some special program or activity, any rewards received, or acknowledgements received either inside or outside the studio. Many students are active in school and church doing things you the they are proud of. I know we have children that have special gifts, other than dancing, so let us hear about them so we can be proud too.
